Primary Therapist, San Francisco
Alexandria is a registered Associate Marriage and Family therapist AMFT#11042 and works as a Primary Therapist at The Lotus Collaborative. Born and raised in Canada, Alexandria started her work in mental health by working at a crisis line, where she became increasingly aware of the need for compassionate care. From there Alexandria began volunteering at the Sexual Health and Resource Center in Kingston, Ontario with a focus on sexual trauma and LGBTQ activism on campus. Alexandria completed Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Political Science from Queen’s University in 2015. Through this time, she went through her own experience of therapy and found a connection using expressive arts as a way of healing. Alexandria moved to the United States in 2016 to complete a Masters of Arts in Counselling with a concentration in Drama Therapy from California Institute of Integral Studies. Alexandria has a history of providing trauma-informed therapy to children and families, as well as running workshops to adolescents on mindfulness and mental health.
Alexandria brings her empathetic and playful nature as a Primary Therapist. Her passions include using Drama Therapy to help clients tackle problems and build connections and combining CBT/ACT skills with arts based projects. Alexandria hopes to help clients build their own toolkits to self-awareness and self-care.
