Leah Hopkins, MS, R.D.N
Program Registered Dietitian
Leah is a clinical dietitian and nutritional therapist. She holds a BS in Dietetics from San Francisco State University and an MS in Human Nutrition from the University of New Haven. During her long career as a dietitian she has worked in public health research, acute care hospitals, outpatient nutrition education, and community-based recovery programs; she continues to run her private nutrition counseling practice on the Monterey Peninsula. Leah has worked with adolescents, adults, and families for more than 15 years, focusing on the recovery from eating disorders. She recently had the opportunity to help open and launch a residential eating disorder treatment program in Pacific Grove, California. Leah comes to The Lotus Collaborative with a continued desire to help transform lives and promote healing. She is passionate about teaching individuals the skills of “normal eating” to reach a healthy body weight using mindfulness, self-acceptance, and balanced nutrition in order to achieve complete health and wellbeing. Leah is enthusiastic about lifelong learning and continues to sharpen her skills and expand her knowledge in the growing fields of nutritional neuroscience as well as the study of the gut as the “second brain.” In her spare time she likes to hike and practice yoga.
