Caitlin "Luna" Miller, B.A.
Lead Transitional Residence & Recovery Counselor
Luna comes to Lotus with a background in wilderness therapy, yoga, and art. Before making her way to Lotus she was a field guide at Open Sky Wilderness Therapy in Colorado where she led backpacking trips for teens and young adults struggling with identity, drug abuse, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and trauma. She believes in the power of nature as an aid in the healing process. She did her 200-Hour yoga teacher training at Mount Madonna Center in 2010 and has been practicing yoga for ten years. Yoga helped her to love her body and connect to a higher purpose. She believes it is a powerful practice that can help people to slow down, know their bodies, and find their truth. Luna graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a BA in Art in 2009. Photography was her first creative outlet that she used to inspire herself and others through her portraits of women in nature. Her creativity also moves through song writing, singing, writing, and creative movements including hula hooping. She is passionate about helping people to recognize their true inner voices, discover their deepest values, and learn to love themselves. She believes that nature appreciation, body connection, and creative outlets are key to the recovery process. She brings creativity, compassion, and curiosity into her work with clients at the Lotus Collaborative.
