Riley Cook, MS, R.D.N
Program Registered Dietitian
Riley Cook is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with experience treating adolescent and adult eating disorders throughout the full spectrum of recovery. She received her B.S. in Pre-Medical Nutrition Science from California Polytechnic State University where she worked as a leader in the body positivity movement on campus.
Throughout her undergraduate experience, Riley combined her innate passion for holistic health with traditional education in nutrition and fitness. At Cal Poly, she was the co-founder of a meditation club, joyful movement club, and worked with women and children to promote self-acceptance and empowerment. Inspired by her counseling classes, Riley researched the relationship between motivation and eating behaviors in young adults. Using this information, she developed a mobile application to help students and faculty make healthy choices when dining on campus. After graduation, she moved to the Bay Area to complete her dietetic internship at San Francisco State University. She received formal training and hands-on experience in medical nutrition therapy and treating clients with eating disorders, providing compassionate care and facilitating the road to recovery.
Riley encourages Intuitive Eating principles and empowers clients to improve their quality of life and repair their relationship with food. She creates individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each client, combining evidence-based nutrition therapy with an integrated approach that addresses mental, physical, and emotional health. Outside of The Lotus Collaborative, she loves reading, journaling, cooking, dancing, and spending time in nature. Riley is excited to be part of Team Lotus where she can combine her knowledge and love of nutrition with a holistic philosophy to provide transformational care at TLC.
