Maureen Eberhardt
Program Coordinator, Santa Cruz

Maureen is a sober queer artist who goes by she/they pronouns. They received their AA in Spanish Studies from Saddleback College in 2016 and has a profound love for language and its connection to human kind's ever-evolving forms of communication. Before Lotus, Maureen worked at a non-profit after school program called Campus Kids Connection where she taught and oversaw 60+ children ages 4-11 at DeLaveaga Elementary School. She fell in love with making art, music and foods with the kids. She has been so happy to be able to bring the same love and charm that she learned as a teacher into the space here at Lotus. Whether it be restocking staff snacks, getting glitter and other art supplies for groups, scheduling appointments, or advocating for quality client care through utilization reviews with insurance, Maureen brings her heart and soul to her work. They also bring compassion and care to all clients, families, and staff encountered and are passionate about getting clients the care that they need. In their free time Maureen likes to hike with their partner and puppy, watch the ocean, sing and write songs, and cook and eat good food! She is passionate about human rights, equal opportunity, Black Lives Matter, and justice for all. She hopes to one day impact and change the world for the better through storytelling as a singer-songwriter. Pre-pandemic, Maureen would play at local open mics and small shows around the Bay area. Now her main audience is her housemates and puppy! Maureen is grateful to work for a holistic, constantly evolving company and is looking forward to more professional and spiritual growth here at Lotus.
