Eating Disorder Support Group Registration

Hi there, we are so excited you want to join our free support community. Please read this over to avoid confusion about our two part registration process. Below is step one. Once you hit the green register button below you will receive an automated email, there is sometimes a small delay so give it at least 10mins. If you do not see your welcome email check your junk/spam folder. In the welcome email you will find the link to complete your registration via zoom. At this point you will be provided the "Join Meeting Link" to participate in the group. You may be wondering why so many links!? This is an added security measures to keep our safe spaces safe. Support Group Protocol *

Everyone here agrees to honor one another's privacy. Your choice to speak freely is sacred and should be treated as such. We honor one another's trust by listening when someone else is speaking, thinking of ways to support this individual with the group time we share, using the time to stop thinking my own thoughts and practice being in a place of non-judgment, compassion, and empathy. We also honor one another's trust by not sharing one another’s identity or experience with others outside of this group. We practice only sharing from our own experience such as "Today, I felt supported in group," and "I struggled to speak my truth in group. I found it hard to be vulnerable." The purpose of this online support group is for the group members to practice giving and receiving support. We do this by actively listening and sharing. Due to the limits of this support group, we cannot use the group to support members that are actively in crisis, medically unstable, or struggling with serious thoughts of suicide or homicide. Support groups are not psychotherapy groups. We encourage participants to seek individual or group therapy if they are needing more individualized and intensive therapeutic support. This group is open to the public and discussions may contain intense content not suitable for all ages.
