Your Treatment Team: The roles we play in your Recovery

  • You
It’s as if you own a sports team and we are your assigned players. By hiring us to play for your team, you learn to trust each player to do what they're best at. We believe each member of your treatment team has a valuable role, and you are THE MOST important person on your team.

  • Clinical Director
The Clinical Director is the captain of your treatment team. They oversee and coordinate all the players to ensure you get the best treatment. That means each member is well-informed and works together for you. The Captain takes into account what you need and want, and integrates the treatment team’s input to create a personalized, individualized, treatment plan for you. And the best part is, we keep updating the plan daily as you evolve in treatment, tailoring the plan to keep up with where you are in the process. The CD oversees the treatment you receive from your individual, group, and nutrition therapies, and gives you weekly feedback on your progress. At TLC, our treatment plans are personalized, current and individually tailored, including effective treatments that enable us to best track your progress.
  • Registered Dietitian
The Dietitian makes sure your body and mind get what you need to function at your best and heal. They help balance your meals with your preferences, nutritional needs, exercise plan, and medical concerns - with their goal being to restore your metabolism to optimum functioning. There is an art to nutrition therapy, that blends the science of nutrition, your recovery needs, and your emotional and physical well being. The dietitian sets your individual goals, including meal plans and exercise to help you learn to trust the food and your body again. They are your closest advocate in relationship to your eating.
  • Primary Therapists
The Primary Therapists work to help you connect with you again. They work to help you find your voice and identity, outside of the eating disorder. They help you gain insight into behaviors, history and triggers, and provide you with other more sustainable ways of being. They are your advocate, and your hope bearers when it seems you have none. They shine the way like lighthouses when it’s too dark to see, and help motivate you to keep fighting by challenging you to become the best version of you - the person you’ve always wanted to become.

  • Program Director, Insurance and Intake Coordinator and Financial Director
These individuals make sure everything behind the scenes runs smoothly. - billing, insurance, running an effective business, and meeting our requirements with health, ethics, financial, and insurance. In addition, they'll make sure our treatment program feels clean, safe, organized, friendly, and informed while the Office Manager is working diligently behind the scenes to create a productive, healing environment. In short, they're great at reducing the uncertainty and chaos, and help create order and flow.

  • Medication Consultant
The Medical Consultant makes sure your body gets the treatment it needs in order to be healthy. They assist with the diagnosis and treatment options, prescribe medications and monitor progress on medications, consult about current medications, and can assist with discontinuing medication.  At TLC, we don't believe everybody needs or will benefit from medication -  however, for some people, they can’t establish optimal mental health, no matter how hard they try, without correcting biological chemical imbalances. Therefore, we provide you with options so you can utilize any and every option available to help you recover.

  • Counselors, Recovery Coaches, and Support Team
The Support Team consists of the volunteers, mentors, interns. They're there to help you with all the unseen needs and things that come up on the spot. They sit with you, listen, assist you - and go the extra mile because they are passionate about helping others and recovery.
