NAMI San Francisco
At the heart of NAMI San Francisco's mission is the sharing of information and striving to end the stigma associated with mental illness.  To this end, we offer a Helpline, support groups, educational meetings, newsletters, and a number of educational classes on mental illness held at various locations throughout the city.

HealthRIGHT 360
HealthRIGHT 360 is a family of integrated health programs that provides compassionate care and treatment to over 38,000 individuals a year through more than 70 distinct and culturally competent programs in 13 California counties.

San Francisco Suicide Prevention
San Francisco Suicide Prevention is the oldest community-based telephone crisis center in the United States, founded in 1962 by Bernard Mayes, a journalist from the British Broadcasting Corporation.  To this day, the agency trains local volunteers who provide suicide prevention and crisis intervention services to callers, over 500 other crisis centers across the United States now utilize the same concept.

THE SF LGBT CENTER
The mission of the SF LGBT Center is to connect our diverse community to opportunities, resources and each other to achieve our vision of a stronger, healthier, and more equitable world for LGBT people and our allies. When visitors arrive at the Center, they find free services like career counseling, job fairs, computer lab, social activities, mentorships, youth meals, daycare, various workshops and much more. Here they can connect with other LGBT people and organize to secure our equal rights. The Center is truly the heart, home and hands of the San Francisco LGBT community.

TransLife
TransLife is an inclusive group of multiracial, male and female transgender, old and young, at many stages of transition. TransLife is a group for people looking for support for issues related to gender, identity, sexuality, drugs, sex work, hormone therapy, gender surgery and HIV. They welcome allies, friends and others who wish to learn and grow with the transgender community.

Mental Health Board of San Francisco
The Mental Health Board is a state mandated group of citizens who advise the Board of Supervisors and the Mental Health Director about funding, services, and policy as they relate to mental health in San Francisco. This mission of the Mental Health Board of San Francisco represents and ensures the inclusion of the diverse voices of consumers, citizens, and stakeholders in advising how mental health services are administered and provided. Through its state and city mandates, the Mental Health Board advises, reviews, advocates, and educates; with the aim of having that advice integrated, incorporated, and reflected in implementation of mental health policy; with the ultimate goal of ensuring quality mental health services. The Mental Health Board meets monthly and meetings are open to the public. Call (415) 255-2474 for meeting information. 

Association for Professionals Treating Eating Disorders (APTED)
The Association of Professionals Treating Eating Disorders (APTED) is a non-profit organization comprised of a loose affiliation of professionals working in the Eating Disorder field. They offer training and networking opportunities for professionals, support and referrals to professionals of other disciplines as well as support, referrals and direct service to those in recovery from eating disorders.
