The Lotus Collaborative provides specialized eating disorder and mental health treatment for adolescents and adults in Santa Cruz. Our programs combine evidence-based care with a relational, trauma-responsive approach in a close-knit treatment environment.
Care is available in person, virtually, or in a hybrid format depending on the program and level of care.

Structured support for people who need more than weekly outpatient care while maintaining space for school, work, and daily life.
Eating Disorder PHP
Ages 14+ · In-person, virtual or hybrid
Our most intensive outpatient level of eating disorder care, providing a high degree of structure and support without 24-hour treatment.
Mental Health IOP
Ages 18+ · In-person or virtual
Specialized care for navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, and mental health challenges that feel overwhelming.
Outpatient Services
Ages 14+ · Therapy & nutrition
Individual psychotherapy, nutrition counseling, or both for people seeking flexible, lower-intensity support.

Conditions we treat
Our Santa Cruz team supports clients navigating anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder (BED), OSFED, ARFID, orthorexia, diabulimia, and co-occurring mood and trauma concerns. Our Mood & Trauma Treatment program supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health concerns.

Personalized, multidisciplinary support
Treatment at Lotus is collaborative and individualized. Depending on level of care, support may include individual and group therapy, nutrition counseling, meal support, psychiatry, family support, expressive therapies, and real-world nutrition experiences.

Care is available in person, virtually, or in a hybrid format depending on the program and level of care.
LOCAL SUPPORT
Free Eating Disorder Recovery Support Group
Lotus also hosts a free, therapist-led eating disorder recovery support group at our Santa Cruz center. The group is open to the community for ages 14+ and is designed for people in recovery, beginning to explore recovery, or looking for support around food and body concerns.

Our Westside Santa Cruz center serves clients throughout Santa Cruz County and surrounding Central Coast communities, including Capitola, Aptos, Soquel, Scotts Valley, and Watsonville. Virtual treatment options are also available to eligible clients throughout California.

PAYING FOR TREATMENT
Insurance & admissions
Lotus is in-network with Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Cigna, Kaiser Permanente, and UnitedHealthcare for eligible higher levels of care. We also work with Medi-Cal referrals and can explore Single Case Agreements.
